For our December event, we had our rather traditional "4 Corners" tasting with a table at each corner of the room personned by a member or members and with two different wines for us all to sample.

After a welcome wine of Comte de Senechal champagne, we were all able to enjoy the party and social event.

Paul Kinnon with wines from Spain
Paul showed two different wines from the same producer, using the same grape variety. The winemaking techniques allowed the production of a white and a red wine (which were very different in flavour) from the Bobal grape -

Andy Finklaire showed two wines from Burgundy -

Sue Rossell stepped up at short notice to cover the catering for this event (which include Ice Cream and Pedro Ximenez Viejo Hildago sherry - £19.50). Thank you Sue for an excellent buffet

A good time was had by all, and this was a fitting end to the Wine Society's year.
