October 2022 - Brazilian Wines.

The WAS membership went Brazilian with aplomb, welcoming Nicholas Corfe, MD of Go Brazil Wines to bring tales from his recent trip to Brazil, plus a really interesting range of wines from the region.  The pairing of traditional method blanc de blanc versus blanc de noirs was both interesting and divided opinion with a 50/50 split in preference across the audience.  A couple of whites, one described by the audience as elegant, feminine and floral, was followed by a quartet of reds that were towards the more powerful end of the spectrum and would pair well with food.  We finished the evening with a light, sweet sparkler and were treated to a fantastic finger buffet to accompany.
