21st January - AGM and Blind Tasting
For our January event, we covered the Annual General Meeting of the Socuiey interspersed with a blind tasing of wines chosen by David Rossell and David Flanders (officially Co-Chairs of the Society)

The business of the AGM was carried out promptly to allow the exploration of the wines (with cryptic clues from the Chairman) and hopefully their identification.
In each case we were looking for the grape variety, the area of production and an estimated price (+/-£3)

After a welcome wine - a Rose Cava from the Co-Op at £8.25 we asked to identify the following wines:

1. Mosel Reisling 2023 (Trier in Germany) £11.95
A wine having mouthwatering acidity with finesse and floral aromatics.

Awarding 3 marks for each wine, the most accurate member was Andy Finklaire - his prise, a bottle of Hunter's MiruMiru Marlborough Brut (NV)
